About Dan Feld
I am currently a Lead Materials Scientist on the Global Absorbent Development Team at Kimberly-Clark in Neenah, WI. I collaborate both internally and with external suppliers to develop novel absorbent systems for KC\'s Baby and Child Care products around the world. In 2014 I received my Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northwestern University. My formal training was in inorganic chemistry; however, due to the interdisciplinary nature of my research, my technical expertise also encompasses organic and analytical chemistry. My research in the lab of Prof. Tom Meade focused on the synthesis and characterization of ruthenium complexes for use as probes to measure electron transfer properties of biomacromolecules, specifically DNA and proteins. Information from my research is being used to develop more efficient biosensors.
