Danese Kenon is a dynamic visual educator and coach with nearly two decades of photojournalism experience. After receiving her bachelor’s in English from Virginia State University, she started her career as a photographer at The Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, NY. After three years in Rochester, Kenon attended the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, where she earned a master’s in photography. Her career path continued to Pittsburgh, Pa, Tampa, Fla, and now Philadelphia, Pa. Kenon is currently the Managing Editor of Visuals at The Philadelphia Inquirer.
