About Dane Talmage
Hello. I am an individual who has served those with disabilities and underserved populations for over 27 years. I have a unique mix of professional and lived experience with disabilities that give me a dual perspective.The majority of my career has been spent working in the field of vocational rehabilitation. Specifically, I spent 20 years working for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of vocational rehabilitation as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. During that time, I worked with a variety of populations, including, those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, mental health diagnosis, co occurring substance abuse issues, and those with physical disabilities. I have experience working in a number of systems including social security disability, Medicaid, secondary and post secondary educational systems. I have experience in ADA compliance, disability awareness and diversity and inclusion as well. This includes knowledge of all applicable state and federal laws and associated regulations and policies that impact those with disabilities.
