About Dane Anderson

I started my current Software Engineer role with Intelsat in 2022. As part of the Satellite Control Systems team, I work on systems which process telemetry data. After a few months, I received sole ownership of a project to create an industry-scale web server translating and serving our traditionally-formatted data as JSON-formatted data. I work on smaller projects as well, across languages. So far at Intelsat alone, I\'ve worked with C++, Cython, Python, Java, Bash, Korn Shell, SQL, MongoDB, Node, and Javascript. Across my career, my work is backend focused, but I\'ve worked from to the front end to the database. On my team, senior developers will listen to questions and offer guidance without talking down to junior developers. I value this deeply in a company, as I believe this fosters the most productivity without any employee resentment.I graduated Cum Laude from College of the Holy Cross in 2020. I was a Computer Science major, but I was also a Religious Studies minor and Russian Studies minor. I will happily talk about my minors if you ask! My free time is largely spent attending live performance art.
