Deputy Sheriff assigned to the Mental Evaluation Team. Primary assigned to North County Operations• Responsible for responding to incidents involving the mentally ill and assisting field, custody, and operations personnel with assessing mental health of detainees and prisoners.• Partner with Department of Mental Health when responding to incidents involving mental health or suicide attempts• Liaison with Crisis Negotiation Team members and provide expertise pending response.• Collateral duty as instructor in response to Weapons of Mass Destruction incidents
