I am a \"people first\" software developer and manager with almost 20 years’ professional experience and a lifelong passion for technology and optimization that started in early childhood. As the Director of Technology at Carbon Block I was developing and guiding the next generation of IoT technology including Blockchain and Machine Learning to help decarbonize the global economy by automating the process of auditing and generating Carbon Offset creation.My greatest skills are my ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly and my ability to see the next potential problems or roadblocks before they happen making me good at technology planning and risk mitigation. With 15 years’ experience at Trojan Technologies, a Danaher company I played a pivotal role in building and leading in house hardware and software development teams as well as leading, managing and architecting a pan-OpCo IoT development. It was here I learned and developed my skills as a process expert, building new business and development processes to optimize development and reduce risk.Over my career I have developed on countless platforms ranging from embedded C on numerous microcontrollers to Rockwell, Siemens and other PLCs and HMIs to desktop and IoT applications in C#, Python, NodeJS and many other technologies. My experience on large, distributed control systems made me an expert in the Modbus communications protocol and RS-485 networks as well as the interoperability and strengths/weaknesses of various controls technologies.
