Responsible for ensuring the right resources are budgeted, scheduled and applied in order to enable the delivery of fully functional Mechanical and Thermal subsystems on time, under budget for NISAR, an earth orbiting satellite. Total value of the Mech/Therm subsystem >$150 million.• Developed Project Plans for scheduling what work needs to be conducted by which time in order to meet milestone requirements• Procured staffing, both internal from JPL and external from contractors to assemble the full team, which at times exceeded 50 people.• Acting Contract Technical Manager for $40M reflector contract, ensuring that all issues, both contractual and technical are addressed to maintain progress toward an on-time delivery.• Acting MGSE (Ground Equipment) lead engineer planning and organizing the team of design engineers, establishing priorities to ensure on-time deliveries.• Interfaced with our Indian partners, ensuring that interfaces and requirements are established, plans are developed and executed efficiently. Traveled to Ahmedabad and Bangalore on numerous occasions to work out complicated issues and finalize agreements.• Developed numerous productivity enhancing tools including a simplified way to estimate whether a component will burn up upon reentry, the PIRC (Problem, Issue, Risk, Concern) tracking system for weekly status updates and an automated drawing status tool that reduced the effort for monthly report generations and increased accuracy of the reporting.
