As part of WSP’s Bridges Highways and Roads team, I manage the land use, access, and development proposals along provincial highway networks, municipal roadways and transit corridors to ensure development is safe, aligns with policies, and protects the long-term viability of the highway infrastructure. • Provide specialized advice to senior officials and staff regarding politically sensitive corridor issues and ensure construction projects are free of encumbrances (utilities, environmental issues). • Review and assess complex land development proposals, site plans, access points, and encroachment permit requests • Work with multi-disciplinary teams through complex highway design and construction projects.• Mediate between stakeholders with opposing interests—including municipalities, developers, and the public - to build consensus on development proposals.
