ABOUT DANA THOMAS
Dana Thomas is a professional dancer and performance artist living in Manhattan. Dana is from Centreville, Virginia. She studied at the Northern Virginia Center for Dance and Theatre under the artistic direction of Diane Yates-Biggs and Karen Studd. Dana has studied at the Mark Morris Dance Group School, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. She graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance and Media, Culture, and Communications. She has had the privilege of performing works by Debbie Allen, Susan Marshall, Gus Solomons Jr, James Sutton, Brian Friedman, Kay Cummings, and Laura Peterson. She has performed on FOX\'s So You Think You Can Dance? season 3. Dana has partcipated in numerous festivals including FringeNYC, American Dance Gulid Festival, Wolf Trap International Festival, and White Wave Dumbo Festival. Dana has performed at various venues such as Lincoln Center, The John F. Kennedy Center, The Ailey Citigroup Theater, Dance Theater Workshop, Wolf Trap, Mark Morris Duffy Theater, The TANK,(le) poisson Rouge, Dance New Amsterdam, La MaMa, The Flea, USF, UCLA, and Joyce SoHo. She has worked with Douglas Dunn & Dancers, Sydney Skybetter/skybetter and associates, Jamal Jackson Dance Co, cakeface, Malcolm Low/Formal Structure, and The Metropolitan Opera in productions of Faust choreographed by Kelly Devine, Les Troyens choreographed by Doug Varone, and Parsifal choreographed by Carolyn Choa.
