ABOUT DANA MOORE

I am currently employed as an Addiction Attendant at St. Joseph\'s Healthcare Hamilton, where I play a key role in supporting clients with substance use disorders and mental health challenges, and through crisis intervention. My responsibilities include building therapeutic relationships, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and actively supporting clients with their recovery journeys. To complement my professional experience, I have pursued advanced education in mental health and addiction services. I graduated from Mohawk College\'s Concurrent Disorders postgraduate program, which has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of co-occurring disorders. I also hold and honours degree in Sociology with a minor in Mental Health and Addictions, and a certificate in Criminal Psychology and Behaviour, broadening my expertise in the field. Beyond my role at St. Joseph\'s Healthcare, I have gained valuable experience through my work with Christian Horizons, in the customer service industry, and my volunteer efforts at the HUB, and more recently, CityKidz. These opportunities have significantly enriched my professional development and contributed to my well-rounded background in client care and community engagement.
