About Dana Moore
I am an experienced healthcare project architect with over 23 years in the field. Licensure includes South Carolina, Illinois, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Kansas having lived in several of those states. Strong proficiency includes Revit, Bluebeam and production (SD to CDs). Areas of expertise are ground-up construction, additions, and tenant upfits such as MRIs, CTs and other clinical spaces such as GI labs, ICUs, pharmacies, central sterile and clean rooms. Other work includes multiple new build freestanding emergency departments for HCA, parking structures and additions for the VA and various MOBs with immense experience in building envelopes and veterinary hospitals both small and large animal, The International Masonry Institute in Maryland (IMI), The Holocaust Museum in Skokie Illinois, St. James Episcopal Diocese Renovation, Addition and Plaza Replacement in Chicago. Stone Canyon Golf Clubhouse in Tucson Arizona, Sedona Rouge Hotel addition and renovation in Arizona and SAAR renovation and addition in Scottsdale Arizona. Other exciting work includes tenant up-fits in downtown Charleston where use of existing building code was needed. I have led teams up to 14 to produce 50 upfits yearly for Plasma donation centers in over 30 states developing a process to keep things flowing. My extensive leadership training used daily allows me to mentor architects and emerging professionals. My enthusiasm in the QAQC system has helped me develop a collaborative process allowing me to work well with Contractors during the CA phase of projects on various types of project delivery methods including traditions, multiple design-builds and design assists. I have also been exposed to LEAN construction and am familiar with the process. I have two Masters Degrees, one in Art History/Archaeology (1996) and the other in Architecture (2004). In conjunction with these two degrees, I simultaneously studied Italian, Spanish and Modern Greek. I have archaeological fieldwork and survey experience in Greece. For several field seasons I surveyed around Isthmia (Pan-Hellenic Site) and Ancient Korinth, located northeast on the Peloponnesus. Involvement includes drafting architectural sculpture of the Roman Bath and Temple of Poseidon at Isthmia. My architectural and pottery drawings have been published in archaeological journals and have written about the Parthenon frieze. My diverse background in linguistics and archaeology in Greece, Italy, Spain, and Guatemala have lent itself to client relations and the ability to problem solve.
