ABOUT DANA LAFARGA
I have over 30 years of experience in leading transformational programs, leveraging my background in consulting, solutions delivery and business operations. I have built and led high performing teams for a number of brand-name companies, including RBC, IBM, SAS, Algorithmics, CIBC, 724 Solutions, PeopleSoft and Accenture. I currently lead governance for a number of strategic programs in RBC\'s Global Functions Technology group. My past professional roles include leading governance and operations for RBC\'s $170MM+ community investment portfolio, as well as a number of technology leadership roles focused on disruptive technologies and business analytics from an end-to-end perspective. This includes program management of transformational initiatives related to digital channels leveraging Agile delivery principles, mobile technology, secure cloud solutions, data governance and data management principles, predictive analytics, big data, risk management, fraud and financial crimes detection, and business intelligence/performance management. I am passionate about the performing arts, contributing my time and skills on a volunteer basis to help these organizations achieve the business goals and commercial viability/sustainability required to advance their art. I am currently a Vice Chair on the Board of Directors of Soulpepper Theatre Company and in the past, was Board Chair of Tapestry Opera.
