About Dana Hurwitz
I\'m a designer and entrepreneur, best known for the creative energy I bring to any design team. I\'ve worked with companies large and small to conceptualize and produce on-brand accessories for their customers. I began my career at the Global Brands Group (GBG), designing accessories and providing creative support for licensed brands like Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, Frye, Guess, Cole Hahn, John Varvatos, Rebecca Minkoff, Rachael Zoe, and Vince, after graduating from the Pratt Institute in with a BFA in Fashion Design. In 2016, I left the corporate world in favor of entrepreneurship, and launched BOND Hardware, a forward-thinking brand of sharp and sculptural jewelry and accessories with a sustainable ethos. The brand was recently named a 2019 winner of the CFDA Elaine Gold Launchpad award. My goal is to make customers feel strong and confident, and challenge the status quo in new and innovative ways, using materials and methods that respect the environment. I\'m committed to advancing sustainability for our industry, and am interested in meeting like-minded people who are exploring innovative methods and materials, and share these goals. My entrepreneurial vision is to establish BOND at the intersection of fashion, art, design and culture. In 2016, I left the corporate world, and redesigned and relaunched BOND as a fine jewelry brand featuring sharp and sculptural shapes, and made locally with a sustainable ethos. BOND has since added a line of modular accessories. Today, Bond Hardware creates accessories and statement jewelry that empowers the wearer, maintains a distinct and clean design perspective, and is created locally with sustainable, responsible production processes.
