Educational Consultant: National/ international specialty in educational assessment, complex therapeutic placement, works with students with 504/ IEP process. Guide students to adjustments to best fit school environment. Specialists travel over 150 days/year to interact w/ schools/programs\\-extensive data bases /current analysis of schools/professional staff. Networks/contacts are developed with key people such as teachers, administrators/counselors in schools, specialty programs, as well as universities/ research institutions. Clinical Practice: Child (age 5-28+) psychiatric complex case consultation, Rx eval, assessment and testing, diagnostic determinations, and crisis management. Practice provides evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with a wide range of problems. Special interests include depression/anxiety, ADHD, autism/Asperger’s, suicide prevention/intervention, grief and loss, eating disorders, children in exceptional circumstances, and international child advocacy. Dana directs/leads the team on every case in private practice w/ pediatric neuropsychologist, psychiatrist, social worker and family counselors and ADHD coaches. We focus on liaison with community pediatric practices, placement recommendations, suicide risk assessment, child neglect/abuse, young adult coaching, parenting interventions, clinical investigations, and consultation to child service agencies and school districts. Day treatment and extended assessment w/ enrollment in Canterbury Academy.Best Interest of the Child: Divorce and Custody Determination/ Parent-Child Reconciliation Dana Dean Doering, ARNP is a full member of the AFCC, Association of Family Conciliation Courts.
