   Created in 1992 to help finance the development of affordable rental housing in North Carolina, CAHEC is a leading community investment company focusing on syndication (equity and debt), preservation, general partnerships, property management, and charitable initiatives through the mid-Atlantic and South. CAHEC has raised and committed $3.6 billion toward the development/preservation of units of affordable housing; manages units; and has granted $18.5 million to the residents, communities, and partners it serves.I have been with CAHEC since 2001. My management responsibilities include (i) guiding CAHEC’s overall strategy and operations,(ii) accountability for its growth, diversification and furtherance of its non-profit mission and oversight of its financial condition,(iv) leading CAHEC’s legislative outreach efforts, and (v) provision of the leadership, vision and resources necessary to maintain the company’s competitive advantage.
