Collaborate with attorneys, analyze cases by examination of discovery materials.Conduct in-depth in person interviews with victims, witnesses, police personnel, medical personnel, clients and others.Prepare comprehensive written summaries of interviews, investigative findings, written reports for legal documentationObtain and review reports, records, information through online means and social media and other information.Identify and locate known or potential witnesses, including the ability to successfully skip-trace hard to locate witnesses.Prepared to analyze and extrapolate minute details from, at times, hours of body camera footage as well as court and police documentsPrepare, process and serve subpoenas on individuals and organizations.Field investigation workInteract with all participants of the criminal justice system Testify in court proceedings regarding their investigations.Assist Public Defense Attorneys with trial preparation, and from time to time, accompany and work in tandem with the Public Defense Attorneys during criminal trials, assisting with jury selection and compiling evidence for court. Catalog and maintain copious notes and work product in order to, at a moment’s notice during hearings, access that information and present it to Public Defense Attorneys when needed.Collaborate and maintain relationships will all members of the justice system, including court personnel, court officers, elected officers, law enforcement agencies and evidence technicians.Knowledge of current investigative practices and procedures.
