Hi, I’m Dr. Dana S. Mitchell — a pelvic health physical therapist and certified Pilates instructor with a passion for helping people reconnect with their bodies after trauma, birth, or life transitions.With over a decade of experience in orthopedic and pelvic floor rehabilitation, I’ve led programs across Georgia and Tennessee that center inclusive, culturally responsive care. My specialty lies in trauma-informed movement, clinical mentorship, and designing programs that expand access for Black women and marginalized communities.In my current role as Supervisor of Outpatient Rehab at Wellstar Health System, I’ve: • Increased patient satisfaction beyond system benchmarks • Scaled staff and services to meet rising pelvic health needs • Designed mentorship programs that improve clinical confidence and retention • Built community relationships through patient education and outreachThrough my virtual platform, Doc D Pilates & Wellness, I provide trauma-informed, pelvic-centered Pilates programs that blend breathwork, mobility, and empowerment.I’m here to collaborate, educate, and uplift others—whether that’s through mentorship, panels, or partnerships focused on redefining what care looks like for women and birthing people.Let’s connect.
