Oversee all legal, human resources, and risk/compliance functions, including contract negotiations and drafting, litigation, mediation/arbitration, investigations, policies and procedures, talent acquisition and recruitment, diversity, equity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and development, employee reward programs and all HRIS and office support functions for all EIF/SU2C employees in 18 states and for over 30 fiscal program partners, including Know Your Rights Camp, Black Music Action Coalition, Roybal Film and Television Magnet, The Kevin Love Fund, FosterMore, Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program, and Social Change Fund United. Report directly to the CEO. Advise executive members and the Board on strategic business goals. Manage internal team of six HR, office services and legal/compliance professionals and outside counsel and a legal budget of Lead compensation practices and performance reviews across the organization. Partner with the SU2C Science Department to develop and manage a robust conflicts of interest and grant management process. Partner with the EIF and SU2C Board of Directors and the SU2C Founders and Advisors Committee (FAC) in all legal, compensation, risk and compliance matters, including regulatory compliance, contracts, litigation, leases, production and other entertainment contracts, and intellectual property. Advise the Board on the legal implications of business decisions, such as proposed strategies and other transactions. Defacto corporate secretary for the SU2C Board of Directors and the FAC.
