About Dana Cervantes

I currently serve as the Executive Director of USO Florida serving over hundreds of thousands service members throughout the state With a dedicated staff and team of volunteers we are proud to serve our military members and their families 365 days a year. My story with the USO began shortly after I started my radio career at Pensacola\'s Cat Country 98.7 in 2005. I was one-half of an award-winning morning show team. I traveled to Iraq and Kuwait as an embedded broadcaster for the station. I visited with local troops at Thanksgiving as part of Operation Letters from Home in 2007, 2008, and 2009. I worked closely with the USO during those trips and was proud to transition in 2012 full-time into an organization with such a wonderful mission and continue working with service members. I have been with the USO for over ten years and in that time have grown the footprint of the USO Northwest Florida operation by adding two more centers including the state-of-the-art USO Gaming Complex at Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This center is a flagship project for the organization. Gaming has proven to be the premier method of connection between service members and their loved ones. Now I have been promoted to lead the charge of consolidating the state of Florida into one operation, USO Florida. The statewide operation includes 10 centers, 17 staff members, hundreds of dedicated volunteers, and serves over 26 military installations through outreach programs and services.
