ABOUT DANA ABDEL KHALEK

As a passionate Biomedical Engineer, Project Manager, and Social Entrepreneur, I bring a unique blend of technical, strategic, and community-centered experience. My career began in the clinical field, where I led biomedical engineering operations in a hospital setting—managing equipment procurement, preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and operational efficiency. While I transitioned into leading impact-driven development projects across Lebanon and the MENA region, I have remained connected to healthcare innovation and continuously upskilled to stay current with biomedical advancements. My background enables me to thrive in both technical and programmatic environments, where I leverage creativity, adaptability, and strategic thinking to solve complex challenges. Currently, I am leading an international initiative empowering girls worldwide with physical computing and social entrepreneurship skills, merging STEM education and community impact. From launching a youth-driven hackathon to coordinating cross-sector partnerships, my work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and demonstrates my commitment to measurable, sustainable change. Highlights of my career include managing programs that impacted over 500 youth, earning an MBA, completing the Google Project Management Certificate, and participating in the impactful TechWomen exchange at LinkedIn. I am eager to contribute my biomedical expertise and program leadership to organizations committed to healthcare innovation, youth empowerment, and positive social impact.
