Why Payne Stewart: Payne Stewart is a PGA Tour icon who became one of the game’s most beloved and recognized players, winning several tournaments including two major championships. He was known as an entertainer, jokester, and golf fashion icon. Those closest to him knew him as a family man who was a devoted husband and father who was a lot of fun! His daughter Chelsea said, “as competitive as my father was, he was more about caring for people.” Payne had a deep and growing faith that transformed him into the man he had become before his tragic death in Through the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation and Golf Experiences, we press into Payne’s legacy and the importance he placed in his deepening faith, his love of family, and the fun he had with the game of golf. Our Mission: Developing healthy kids for life, through the fun of golf. Our Focus: Fun, Games-Based Golf Camps & clinics for Kids 4-9! FAITH Giving parents a faith-based character-building camp alternative where kids will learn the fundamentals of golf and the fundamentals of life. The kids will learn nine key virtues (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control) that are the foundation of our program. FAMILY Providing parents greater access and ability to introduce their kids to the fun of golf! We use modified golf equipment designed and made for kids that allow golf to be played in all types of environments and locations. We encourage parent’s participation in the process and give them tools to keep their kids interested and active in the fun of golf! FUN Creating a fun, colorful, and imaginative learning environment for kids to play and practice the fundamentals of golf and life. Kids will be exposed to all sorts of fun, games-based golf activities as well as fun learning and mind-stretching activities. Your kids will not get bored at a Payne Steward Golf Experience!
