ABOUT DAN WILLIAMS

I am a Chartered Accountant, PwC-trained, with 25+ years experience, working in a number of sectors and types of businesses (plc, OMB, PE-backed). Over that time I have gained a deep understanding of what drives a business, through consistent and heavy exposure to change, with a particular expertise in major system implementations and M&A integration work. I love the process of rising to a challenge, and collaborating with colleagues to meet those challenges head on.My experience covers- Multiple major financial system implementations including (Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AX, Netsuite, Business Central) including integrations to CRM- Multiple financial process improvements (month end close & purchase ledger processing efficiencies)- Salesforce CPQ implementation / reconfiguration (2 positions)- M&A – buy and sell side involvement to various degrees; due diligence, post-acquisition integrations- Business partnering (aligning product strategy to process, major revenue and cost initiatives, sales commission policy, scrutiny of key metrics)- Reorganisation (merging/relocation of accounting functions in the UK, involved in setting up a Bulgarian office)- Financial control, planning and analysis – budgeting/forecasting/3-year plans etc- Managing / coaching / developing staff inside and outside of finance team- Tight cash management in tough environments, significant debtor day reductions, invoice financeSectors- SaaS for hospitality sector (recurring revenues and implementation services)- LED Lighting (light manufacturing of finished goods)- Telecoms VAR (recurring revenues with back-to-back 3rd party contract commitments)- Vehicle accident repairs (multi-site bodyshop job costing)- Washroom Services (equipment rental and service)- Marketing agency (professional services)
