ABOUT DAN WELLS

Currently working at Sports Interactive as Producer (Design & Features). Previous roles at Youth Sport Trust as Project Coordinator-Sport and UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) as Results Administrator. Previously worked at Sports Interactive as a QA Lead Tester, working on the studio’s best-selling flagship title, Football Manager. Utilising football specific knowledge and expertise, alongside a meticulous attention to detail, I helped maintain and surpass the high standards set in the studio. I work closely with a team of testers and other QA Leads, as well as with the design, development and production teams, to help create the best possible product. I spent two cycles as a QA tester, working on FM 15 and 16, as well as the first tablet specific version of Football Manager. Through hard work and a desire to learn I was promoted to the position of Lead Tester for Animations and Graphics in January 2016. Following the completion of University I spent three months at Progressive Digital Media as a Sales Executive, working on their industry leading portfolio of digital magazines. Through hard work and an open mind I learnt quickly the key skills needed for the role. Exceeded all KPI\'s and sales targets before taking up a new role at Sports Interactive. Studied Football Studies with Business at Southampton Solent University, where I graduated with a First Class Degree. My time at university allowed me to develop my presentation and communication skills to an excellent standard, as well as the ability to work to specific deadlines. The dissertation I undertook during my final year was a personal highlight. Modules studied: Coaching for Football, Economics of Sport, Finance for Sport, Football Development, Globalisation of Football, Leisure Marketing, Marketing Communications, Service Operations Management and Strategy for Business. Dissertation (Grade: 1st): A critical media discourse analysis of the Women’s European 2013 Football Championships.
