As an Electrical Engineer-in-Training at Magna IV Engineering, a subsidiary of Sunbelt Solomon, I contribute to designing and analyzing power systems and electrical equipment. I assist senior engineers in developing innovative and reliable power distribution solutions, benefiting from their mentorship and guidance to advance my technical expertise. My responsibilities include power system design, analysis, and modeling using ETAP, AutoCAD drafting, emphasizing the performance and reliability of industrial and utility systems.Previously, I served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting professors with lab sessions, grading, and student mentorship in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I earned my Master of Engineering degree from UCalgary, specializing in electric power systems and electrical installations.Before relocating to Canada, I worked as an Electrical Engineer at The Design Group Five International and co-energi (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka, designing, estimating, and supervising electrical installations and solar PV systems for complex projects, including commercial complexes, hotels, and hospitals. My expertise includes load flow analysis, solar system simulation, drafting, and lighting design, using tools like ETAP, PSCAD, MATLAB, AutoCAD, Revit, PVSyst, and DiaLux.I am passionate about continuous learning and professional growth in the electrical engineering sector. My research includes publishing an paper on deriving the magnetization characteristics of a three-phase transformer from inrush current waveforms. I am an EIT (APEGA), a student member of (USA), an associate member of IESL, and an associate engineer of ECSL
