ABOUT DAN TURNER

Dan is pleased to have joined PwC in September 2020 as a Test Manager and is very much looking forward to the work and challenges ahead. Dan is and experienced and professional Software Tester/Business Analyst with thirty years in Test Management, Systems, User Acceptance (UAT), Regression Testing, Test Assurance and Internal Audit. Has managed, conceived, designed, implemented and executed a wide range of Test Suites from Unit Testing stages, through System, Integration and Acceptance for applications ranging from the Insurance Sector, Web-based Swaps Settlement Systems and Accounting Engines to Windows-based systems for the Primary Care sector; from programme scheduling for the BBC, management of the testing for the National Automatic Number Plate Recognition Service, to testing the business processes, systems and production of UK Government issued Identity Cards for Foreign Nationals – the Biometric Residence Permit, and Residence Permit vignettes. Throughout his career, Dan has proved his adaptability and flexibility which has been instrumental in the successful delivery of the projects with which he has been involved Much of Dan’s early experience has been gleaned in the banking and finance sectors. Working from a base in stock and cash reconciliations and then in internal audit, an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving and business analysis has been formed. This has proved invaluable within the testing and test management environments of banking and finance, primary care, media and in Security Cleared Government Agency work. Exposure to the technical side of testing and the use of scripting and test tools has increased his value and adaptability. The niche areas of PKI and biometrics (facial image capture/recognition and fingerprint recording) have been a valuable and fascinating addition to a large portfolio of work and experience that has led to fulfilling work within the public sector. The test management of the National Automatic Number Plate Recognition Service (“NAS”) was a fascinating, demanding but rewarding challenge. Test Management of Direct Line Group’s (“DLG”’s) Best for Customer “B4C” Programme has widened Dan’s field to the Insurance Sector, with the implementation of Guidewire’s Policy, Billings and Claims Centers.
