With more than 70 recorded storms since 1990, this North Carolina-based agency and its members have faced more than their share of unique insurance challenges. In times like these, Dan and his agents take Nationwide\'s philosophy of On Your Side (OYS) to a new level - fielding calls in the dark of night, hand delivering debit cards to storm stricken neighbors, donating truckloads of water and supplies and pitching in to clean up and rebuild. At the Dan Thompson Agency, Inc. On Your Side plays an ongoing role throughout every member relationship, with regular and timely outreach and reviews to help identify member needs, wants, desires and fears and the coverage and service to address those. To Dan and his team, the people they do business with are more than members. They are friends, family and neighbors. In addition to providing much needed support during tough times, the agency is committed to giving back to their community with support to organizations like United Way, Hospice and Safechild. Over the past ten years, together with the Nationwide Foundation, the DTA has helped raise more than for North Carolina\'s abused and neglected children.
