ABOUT DANIEL TAYLOR
At 20 years old, my brother Adam and I set out to transform celebrity photography, launching Xposure Photos with a vision to elevate industry standards through innovation and exceptional service. Over time, we rebranded as Backgrid, becoming a global leader in candid editorial photography with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney. In February 2024, after 23 years of growth, Backgrid was acquired by Shutterstock. Achieving this alongside my father, David, who had supported me throughout the journey, was one of my proudest moments. His passing in September 2024 made this milestone bittersweet but deeply meaningful. Now, as Director of Editorial Content at Shutterstock, I lead the UK and European editorial teams, working to grow the business and deliver world-class content. With over 25 years in the industry, I am passionate about innovation and mentoring talent.
