ABOUT DAN SHAPLAND
I am a first year Law Student at Loyola Chicago University school of law. I am most interested in transactional law, business law, or real estate law, but I have yet to fully decide what my preferred area of practice will be. I am a very hard worker and eager to learn more about the legal field. I have experience at two mid sized law firms, and I have experience on the executive board for a couple of Pre-Law organizations in Champaign, IL from my undergraduate days at the University of Illinois. My skills in legal research, reading, and writing have all vastly improved over the course of my first year in Loyola, and I know that I can greatly help a law firm in need of legal research and writing in the form of drafting documents, motions, etc. While I can still develop my skills, I am a quick and adept learner, and my improvement since arriving at Loyola will allow me to do well in an environment with other attorney\'s to supervise my work. I do well in large or small work environments and I am good at following directions and instruction.
