About Dan Scoville

I am passionate about educating children and continuous improvement. I want all students to be successful, and I want us, as a building and district, to meet all of their needs. Being a parent of two children is the best preparation for the conversations I have with students. I talk to my students the same way I do my own children. I let them know what I observed, or what was reported, I remind them of our expectations and explain why those expectations exist, and I ask them to do it the right way the next time. Occasionally, there is a need for discipline, and that is explained as well. Ultimately, children achieving academic success and growing into successful adults is the fingerprint all teachers and principals will leave. If our students are not successful, we are not successful.
