As a Senior Principal and Co-Branch Manager of Geosyntec Consultants nine Florida offices ’s, Dan is responsible for operations, recruiting, P&L, business development and direction of multidisciplinary private, federal and public sector projects involving site remediation and construction of solid and hazardous waste disposal facilities, liquid impoundments (reservoirs, dikes, dams and levees), coal combustion residual (CCR) disposal sites and mine waste containment sites throughout the U.S. and abroad.

   Mr. Schauer is a Senior Principal Geologist and Branch Manager of Geosyntec consultant Florida Branch consisting of nine office across the state. Dan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the University of Florida in 1984 and has been actively working as a professional geologist in the geo-engineering and environmental fields for the past 36 years. For the last 32 years, Mr. Schauer has played a major role in the development and management of Geosyntec’s construction services, geotechnical and environmental practice areas. In the areas of geology and geotechnical engineering, Mr. Schauer has been directly involved in the design and construction of slurry wall containment systems, cement-bentonite cutoff walls and other subsurface seepage barriers, gravity, rockfill and earth-fill dams, levees, reservoirs, storm water management systems and structures, low permeability soil liners, foundations for single and multi-story structures and containment systems for low level radioactive waste, hazardous waste and municipal solid waste disposal facilities. His diverse experience has also included the management of large-scale earthworks, design and management of geotechnical instrumentation programs, quality assurance/quality control programs, geologic/hydrogeologic investigations, environmental assessment, remediation, compliance, and due diligence for various private and public sector clients throughout the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Schauer is a registered Professional Geologist in Florida and Tennessee and Professional Geoscientist in Texas.
