Director Climate Strategy Global Sustainability @阿斯利康
Macclesfield, GB
Delivered AstraZeneca\'s first carbon capture and utilisation operation, capturing \'waste\' biogenic carbon from biomethane and diverting it within the circular economy to 3 other sectors, displacing fossil CO2- Having sponsored the UK Biomethane Clean Heat project, later replicated by AstraZeneca globally, I led delivery of leadership discussions to transition to \'business-as-usual\' for our global green gas contracts which enabled AstraZeneca shift to renewables. The UK Green Gas facility launched in Feb 2025, at a ceremony with our VP of Sustainability, AstraZeneca UK Chair and a UK DESNZ Minister- Authored a CCU white paper and led a market study to monetise captured biogenic CO₂ for circular re-use-cases- Represented AstraZeneca in high-level policy/advocacy discussions including at the House of Commons, Oxford Offsetting Principles, Economist London Sustainability, Reuters Carbon Futures conferences and collaborated with policy makers and the global biomethane ecosystem in a bid to update biomethane GHG accounting- Supported our global clean heat programmes and shaped cross-pharma sector collaboration with the SMI Health Taskforce for Clean Heat solutions to health care businesses and suppliers.Strategic leader in decarbonisation, renewable energy, biomethane, CDR and CCU, with over 20 years’ experience, initially within Facilities Management. Since 2020, when AstraZeneca announced ‘Ambition Zero Carbon’, I’ve delivered impactful sustainability programmes: reductions, fuel switching, clean heat and power, embracing circularity and partnerships to tackle residual emissions.We\'re a $54B science-led bio-phamaceutical company and one of TIME’s \'World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2025\'. Based in AstraZeneca’s Global Sustainability function, I lead and collaborate on initiatives reshaping decarbonisation in operations and supply chains and securing multi-million dollar green gas and carbon removal investments aligned with our ambitious climate goals.
