Responsible for the design of RBC\'s global data centre estate. In partnership with M&E engineering, CoLo operators and DC operations, I ensure the data centre capabilities, layout, cabling and consumption supports the IT deployed and enables the business. Accountable for defining DC capabilities, defining patterns for optimised deployment and consumption of the DC, developing technical plans for DC migrations and complex solutions, advising leadership on emerging trends and technologies impacting the DC and chairing the Technical Design Authority for DCs which sets standards.Work along side other infrastructure architects and domain engineers to tailor DC capabilities to support solutions, and shape solutions to ensure they are resilient and can be deployed, supported and scaled in the data centre. Interests in advanced cooling, optimisation and sustainability.
