About Dan Merriman
As Director of Continuing Care Policy, I am part of the LeadingAge Southeast policy team supporting Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs)/Life Plan Communities (LPCs). The role leads strategy development for legislative and regulatory advocacy, stakeholder engagement and crafting of key legislative goals to further the mission of our member CCRCs. In addition to leading policy and advocacy initiatives in the Southeast, I have partnered with association and senior living providers throughout the nation. Over my career I have presented numerous times at conferences and training events on topics such as:• Legislative and public policy issues; • Corporate compliance and compliance & ethics programs; • HIPAA; and • General compliance/regulatory issues.
