As Operations Director I am responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of projects across the business group including: Offshore, Marine and Industrial. I also manage the engineering team and oversee operational staff who install, service, test, diagnose and repair fire suppression packages and equipment. Other duties are provided below:Executing the scope of work pertaining to the design and engineering of: automatic sprinklers; fire pumps; water mist; stand pipes; water supply; water spray; foam-water; carbon dioxide; clean agents; and restaurant suppression systems. This includes the supervision and review of: Piping and Instrumentation drawings (P & ID’s); General Arrangement drawings (GA’s); Piping Isometrics; Hydraulic Calculations; Bill of Materials (BOM).Liaise with Certification Authority (CA) to ensure that all design and engineering information are submitted for approvals. Coordinate with CA to ensure that construction and commissioning milestones are witnessed and successfully accepted.Establish factory testing requirements for system packages and ensuring that these are performed, recorded and witnessed to the satisfaction of the client and CA.Oversee the compilation, review and audit of vendor data books and system handover dossiers.Lead a team of technicians in all aspects of the construction and commissioning activities required by the projects.Mentor junior personnel, delegate tasks, provide performance feedback and identify additional training requirements.Database management, including the review of information updated and inputted into the completions system such as punch list items, Inspection Test Records (ITRs), and certificates.Provide project status updates and highlight any potential areas for concern with client and senior management.
