About Dan McCoy

Dr. McCoy obtained his doctorate at the University of Alaska and has worked extensively in the exploration sector for over 30 years, specializing in precious metals exploration. He has worked extensively in North America, South America and in Africa. He has explored for the most prominent types of gold deposits, including Carlin-type, intrusion-related, epithermal and Pre-Cambrian orogenic greenstone belt systems. Dr. McCoy was previously employed at Placer Dome as senior geologist/manager for US generative exploration and was most recently President and CEO of Keegan Resources where he led the exploration team that discovered and delineated the + 5 Million ounce Esaase Gold deposit in Ghana, West Africa.
