I am an outcomes-focused individual with specialized training and experience in disability & health insurance, behavioral health, psychotherapy, management, utilization review, quality improvement, compliance and mathematical statistics.My approach is to analyze business opportunities and challenges by synthesizing information concerning the regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and policies with available data to develop targeted strategies for tactical progress towards specific team goals. My most important accomplishment as a manager has been to help the teams I lead coalesce around a shared vision and common goals, utilizing the diverse abilities of team members to achieve exceptional outcomes. I have repeatedly been told by current and past team members that the work we were doing together was exciting and meaningful to them, and I have been extremely fortunate to have numerous experiences marked by that sense of shared purpose and commitment.In the health insurance arena, I have experience managing HMO, POS, PPO, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Managed Care, indemnity and EAP utilization, and have also worked within capitated, ASO, fee-for-service, pay for performance, case-rate and sub-capitation payment arrangements for commercial insurance, health insurance exchange plans, and employer group accounts. In addition to managing utilization, I have extensive experiencing managing physician review, denial and appeal processes. 1. Workplace Possibilities Practice Consultant

   The Standard

   I provide leadership, analysis and consultative insights into the Workplace Possibilities service line at The Standard, focusing on stay-at-work, return-to-work, services, health management integration and other related employer solutions. Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and finalist presentations, and coordinate with the Marketing and Sales Departments. In addition, I am the designated Subject Matter Expert for the company related to behavioral health issues across all product lines. I also write articles and blog posts related to these topics for the Workplace Possibilities program, and present at conferences and training seminars.In addition, I am the designated Data Steward for the Workplace Possibilities and Disability Management Resources (DMR) programs, participating in data governance and software rationalization projects across all company departments and divisions. In that role, I am responsible for addressing data integrity, database management, tracking and reporting issues in coordination with the Business Intelligence (BI) Team. I also develop and run reports to support Workplace Possibilities customers, as well as the Sales and Marketing Departments.I am also one of the founding members of Partners In Mind, an Employee Resource Group (ERG) focusing on mental health issues at The Standard.
