WORK HISTORY
Member Board of Directors @National Capital Council, Navy League Of The United States
Arlington, VA, US
Navy League is the foremost citizens’ organization to serve, support and stand with all four US sea services. Founded in 1902, the Navy League has three missions: 1) to enhance the morale of active duty personnel and their families; 2) to inform Congress and the American public on the importance of strong sea services; and 3) to support youth through programs such as the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Junior ROTC and Young Marines that expose young people to the values of our sea services. The National Capital Council of the Navy League works to accomplish this mission locally in the Washington, D.C. Specifically, we proudly support Navy, Coast Guard, Marine, and Merchant Marines across the area, and sea service military spouse organizations in our nation’s capital. We fully fund multiple Sea Cadet units, financially support Navy, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine ships, and provide a number of youth scholarships. As one of the largest and most active chapters in the Navy League, our volunteers diligently work to promote and support the sea service community in Washington, D.C. I serve on several committees, including strategic planning, Adopt a Unit/Ship, Sea-Air-Space Symposium, and the Navy Mile.
