Ionic Solutions Ltd. is a Canadian technology development company that specializes in the movement of charged particles (ions) under the influence of an electric field. The Company has spent the past decade developing an advanced form of water desalination and their patented Capacitive Electrodialysis Reversal (C-EDR) technology, which cost-effectively addresses the growing demand for clean water. By solving the limitations of well understood Electrodialysis-Reversal principals, C-EDR achieves significant improvement in water recovery and operating cost reduction over existing technologies. Lab results have revealed that C-EDR uses half the energy of widely used Reverse Osmosis solutions, giving it a much lower operating cost profile. Unlike Reverse Osmosis, the process avoids the need for additive chemicals, leaving a greatly reduced environmental footprint, with better clean water recovery rates, and significantly less system wastewater output.
