Dan Hudgens is a senior financial expert with over 38 years of experience assisting public and privately held companies grow and protect shareholder value. Dan has delivered valued advice and counsel to companies ranging from start-ups to large global organizations in key areas including finance transformation, cyber, optimized management processes and internal controls, capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions and regulatory requirements. He brings deep industry expertise in energy and renewables, financial services and technology. He also brings deep corporate governance experience through his extensive work with corporate boards, including audit and finance committees and is qualified to serve on audit committees as a financial expert. Currently, Dan is wrapping up his career as a senior audit partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP. In addition to serving clients, Dan has also led transformation efforts in Deloitte\'s audit and assurance business, driving performance improvement in this practice by instilling operational discipline in his role as the lead operations partner for the east region. Dan has also driven business development as the national pursuit leader for Deloitte\'s audit and assurance business helping to position Deloitte as the growth leader amongst its peers. Dan served as board chair for his local community\'s United Way organization where he coached and advised the CEO around the implementation of a new community engagement strategy that led to the first increase in funding in almost 20 years. He has also held other non-profit board roles with the American Heart Association and the Virginia Society of CPA\'s.
