ABOUT DAN HAWORTH
As Head of Diagnostics at CDP, I lead a talented multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to develop advanced diagnostic and life science systems for start-ups and large companies. I help teams architect and deliver \'well balanced\' solutions that meet performance, cost, and usability across lab, point-of-care, and home settings.My expertise covers all stages of the development process, from identifying market opportunities to short-run manufacturing. I have a deep understanding of the technical, commercial and regulatory challenges, with a notable project being the launch of the Abbott ID Now (Alere-i). Having worked closely with biochemists throughout my career and with a degree in mechanical engineering, I enjoy implementing complex biological processes in well-designed products. In addition to my technical and commercial role, I also serve as a Director to CDP, providing hands-on senior leadership and strategic management to the company of 300 people. I am also one of five Directors on the Board of Trustees, helping foster sound governance practices and ensuring the company acts in the interests of current and future employees.
