I am a proficient coder with a pragmatic approach, specialising in backend Python and Google Cloud Platform. I am a confident project and people manager with experience of leading small teams in a startup environment. Before my career in tech, I held several policy and operational roles in the Civil Service, which helped hone my communication and management skills. As CTO of a small startup, I have experience of developing cloud-based architecture, managing the development and execution of technical strategy and roadmap. I am comfortable prioritising according to business need and I have run many client-facing product/design workshops. I have 10 years of experience writing production-grade code using technologies such as Flask, ElasticSearch, Sendgrid, Selenium/lxml and Vue. I have experience using, prompt engineering and fine-tuning AI models in production, including LLMs and transcription/diarisation models. I am familiar with using APIs such as OpenAI/ChatGPT, Google Maps, Salesforce, Hubspot and Twitter (X). I am familiar with industry standard practices and tools such as Git/Github, Jira, Agile and Scrum. I am a strong manager with experience of building and leading a technology team from scratch, including training and mentoring junior developers.
