Single stage and two stage tendering on JCT Design and Build Contracts between the value of £10-150 million.Estimating duties include- In-house bill production/ take-off measures. Outsourcing the bill production subject to timescales- Cost Analysis of design packages. Quantifying/ qualifying any risks and highlighting these to the Pre-construction team-Reviewing scope of works in-line with subcontractor quotations and verifying compliance with the tender drawings/ specifications- Management of supply chain enquiries and periodic review of the supply chain list to determine suitability on a scheme by scheme basis- Use of conquest estimating software to populate bill of quantities and generate adjudication reports/ subcontractor comparisons to compile and feed into the Tender Adjudication Sheet to represent a concise nett build cost, which is then reviewed by Senior Management- Attending site visits to ascertain the condition / current building footprint of prospective projects, identifying tangible risks which may need to be considered in our bid- Working closely with the Regional Pre-construction Manager and Design Managers to ensure all tenders are reviewed in rigours detail- Attending design meetings and mid-tender interviews as and when required- Producing detailed handover packs and conducting handover meetings with the commercial team once a project has been awarded. Ensuring that the information passed over is structured in a succinct and easy to interpret format.
