Founder
Jan 2021 — Present · Richmond, VA, US
Established in 2021 in partnership with the Community Foundation for a Greater Richmond, ouRVA Collective is a giving circle for young leaders (21+) that is working to make a meaningful impact in the greater Richmond region by empowering its next generation of philanthropists through education, volunteerism, community building and collective giving. We strive to maximize our group\'s philanthropic impact by making a grant to a deserving nonprofit in the Richmond region. Annually, this grant size fluctuates depending on membership- Ideated a low-barrier giving circle for emerging philanthropists to maximize donations through collective giving, fostering learning in civic engagement, social equity, and Richmond\'s nonprofit sector- Drafted founding documents such as bylaws, governance procedures, and mission and vision statements- Managed the partnership with stakeholders at the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond- Recruited a diverse, values-aligned, and highly skilled team of six community leaders to develop this initiative- Provided strategic oversight and effectively managed all internal and external communications- In the first two years, I led the group to successfully achieve the goal of recruiting 40 members and making a grant.
