Lead and develop a team which provides an operational infrastructure for academics at MIT Sloan. Oversee planning and internal operations for registration-related services. Advise students, faculty and staff on MIT academic policies and procedures.Responsible for overall SES team strategy and vision, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives and the highest level of service to constituent groups. Strategize and manage new systems implementation for academic services; guide the streamlining and optimization of organizational processes. Along with SES team, provide support for classroom teaching in all its forms – including, but not limited to, course scheduling, catalogue maintenance, grades, audits, classroom scheduling, subject evaluations, bidding, cross registration, thesis collection, dual degrees, TA training, and course registration/add/drop. Work closely with the MIT Registrar’s Office and the Office of the Dean for Graduate Education to ensure Sloan is aligned with Institute policies and procedures. The Director serves as the Graduate Administrator for Sloan Masters Programs.Work in partnership with the Executive Director of Student Services, providing statistical support and counsel regarding new initiatives, course offerings, enrollment and course demand data and programmatic forecasting. Compile statistical analyses for Deans, as needed, such as faculty teaching load and grade distribution reports. Compile data to be submitted to rankings for undergraduate, MBA, and other programs as needed.Collaborate with faculty and staff to design, implement and advise on academic policy and curricular change. Oversee Excellence in Teaching selection process. Foster interdepartmental relationships to enhance understanding of and advocate for Sloan’s role in the MIT community. Advise and collaborate with MIT and Sloan faculty and staff colleagues to design and foster initiatives; serve on multiple committees, including the MBA Program Committee.
