About Dan Goldsmith

I am an executive-level manager and attorney with extensive experience in lawyer training and development, strategic planning/execution, and business/legal practice operations. I currently oversee professional development and previously managed the day-to-day operations of a department with over 200 lawyers and staff. I work closely with leaders throughout the organization to coordinate and collaborate on critical needs and initiatives. My areas of expertise include training and career development, change and innovation management, employee relations, and financial and budget administration. I have partnered with senior management and all departments to align the global firm business strategies, prioritize the firm’s practices, assist practice groups to execute on strategic and innovation plans and optimize productivity and performance. Currently serve as a member of both the firm-wide Innovation Committee and Performance Management Committee Served as a member of Practice Innovation and Hiring Committees Served as a member of Information Governance, Business Continuity, Data Systems and GDR Committees and the Litigation Department Promotion Working Group. Earlier in my career I was a Litigation Associate and also served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Thomas J. Meskill in the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. I am active in the Bar Association having served on key committees and appearing as a panelist and moderator for New York City Bar Association programs on Alternative Legal Careers.I earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education from New York University and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law where I served as the Quinnipiac Law Review, Notes & Case notes Editor and was the recipient of a full academic scholarship, the West Publishing Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement, Quinnipiac College School of Law Academic Excellence Award, the Distinguished Academic Achievement Awards, and the Kristen Ann Carvet Award for Academic Excellence.
