I\'m a data scientist with a focus on building machine learning- driven software in Python and R. I have professional experience in data analytics, natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, scientific writing, sales, marketing, and advertising. I love to learn, having found a passion for applied math and computer science. I\'m astonished at how incredibly powerful combining academic research, open source software, and a little bit of creativity can be.My background includes formal studies in Chemistry, Philosophy, and Computer Science, with lots of self study through textbooks, MOOC\'s, academic research papers, journals, conference proceedings, technical documentation, blogs, and good old trial and error. My main areas of focus right now are Bayesian statistics, software engineering, applied machine learning, and any other maths that seem interesting and relevant.
