ABOUT DAN COLE

I am an experienced Energy Executive with a demonstrated history of working in the oil and energy industry for over 45 years. Strong Marketing professional skilled in oil, natural gas, carbon dioxide, petroleum economics, acquisitions and divestitures, strategic planning, change management, risk mitigation, and oil and gas operations including pipelines. During my decades spanning career, I have successfully developed and leveraged industry, governmental as well as environmental non-governmental organization relationships to build effective teams to achieve both corporate and personal goals through these extensive external professional and personal contacts. Over the past 12 years of my career, I have been extensively involved with CCUS activities in the U.S. I have been a frequent speaker or panelist at industry conferences on CCUS and the mitigation of carbon emissions, an important and urgent focus for today’s world. Recently, I served as a key contributor to the National Petroleum Council CCUS Study - Meeting the Dual Challenge: A Roadmap to At-Scale Deployment of Carbon Capture, Use and Storage, where I participated in the development of the economics model along with the “Supply Chain and Economics” chapter and as lead author of Chapter 6, “CO2 Transportation”.
