ABOUT DAN COGDELL
Dan Cogdell has been lead trial counsel in nearly hundreds of jury trials in over twenty different States in his forty years of practicing law. His experience as a trial attorney includes verdicts of “Not Guilty” in the Enron matter, the Branch Davidian Trial, the trial of alternative cancer treatment physician Dr. Stanislaw Burzinski. He likewise obtained the acquittal of Judge John Peavy, Jr. in the Houston City Hall Scandal case. Mr. Cogdell’s success in a multitude of Courtrooms across the country has been well documented. The Showtime series “Waco: The Aftermath” focused on Dan’s successful trial efforts in the Branch Davidian trial. Cogdell was portrayed by Giovanni Ribisi in that five part series which launched in the Spring of 2023. Dan also hosts his podcast “CogdellLawUncensored” which currently has approximately combined followers on Instagram and TikTok. His peers have recognized him as one of the “Best Lawyers In America” since 1996. He has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” for over a decade. Cogdell was honored by his law school as Alumni of the year in 2015. The Harris County Criminal Lawyer’s Association voted him as “Lawyer Of The Year.” He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and is consistently rated as one of the top White Collar Criminal Defense lawyers in the Country.
