The IPRO (Interprofessional) Program consists of student teams from the junior through graduate levels, representing the breadth of the university’s disciplines and professional programs. I am lead Instructor for the Social Innovation for Community Wealth Building course.The student team is charged with working in interdisciplinary teams to develop a social enterprise rooted in Chicago that will produce direct economic and social value for local residents. The application of design thinking, ideation, and human centered design approaches in the context of social innovation holds the potential for proposing an impactful enterprise.
