Experienced Quantity Surveyor currently working within the Water Industry specialising on NEC contract management with responsibility for commercial management and administration of the contract.My strong communication skills and ability to problem solve allows myself to work proactively with both the Employer / Client and Subcontractors to come to mutually agreed outcomes for the benefit of the project.Key responsibilities include: • Working on a range of live projects at one time with different project teams both internally and externally.• Working alongside the project teams to monitor site progress and ensure that commercial obligations are raised, discussed and closed out in line with the contractual clauses and timescales. • Preparing and submitting application for payments in line with the contract along with the relevant supporting documentation to substantiate the application.• Management of the Contract (Typically NEC Option C), including the raising of Early Warning Notices, notifying, preparing and submission of Compensation Events to maximise recovery of time and cost.• Identify, manage and update risk and opportunity on a regular basis.• Cost Management, carrying out monthly internal CVR with senior management and external Forecasts to manage costs and continuously provide updated estimated final costs both short and long term.• Regular meetings with the Employer/Client to update on progress and commercial change in the period. • Monitor and manage Procurement Schedules and prepare Subcontract Documentation to be let, typically NEC Option A.• Manage Subcontractors following implementation of Subcontract, including time / cost change, early warnings, delays, programme submissions, payment, defects and final accounts.
